BUTLER COUNTY – Buffalo Township to raise taxes to pay for multiple lawsuit settlements this year

The millage rate will rise from 4.38 to 5.5 around the first of the year if the preliminary $2.3 million 2019 budget is passed in a final version in December.

It would mark the first tax increase in the township in about six years.

It is common knowledge in the area that the taxes are being raised due to lawsuits such as the police raiding an elderly persons home looking for weed, all to find a plant, yet they still kept everyone in custody for hours humiliating two elderly residents of the house. In turn, the lawsuit was settled by Al Lindsey for a large amount.

There are currently other open lawsuits in buffalo Township against the inept police department that should be disbanded.
