BUTLER COUNTY – District Attorney reviewing the Selfridge case, police still tight lipped

The Butler City Police investigation into a stabbing and fatal shooting in Butler three weeks ago has been closed and turned over to the district attorney’s office.

City police said there is no recommendation concerning charges in the case, leading many to believe this was nothing more then self defense.

Police have also refused to name the Mexican man that was at the shooting when it took place, but no worries, Butler News plans on naming him soon.

Adam Selfridge, 37, of Butler dead and Raymond Covelli, 35, of Butler hospitalized from multiple stab wounds. Police refuse to say how Covelli was transported close to a mile away, and the DA has no comment to any media at this time.
