The board of directors announced on Wednesday that Nathan M. Gressel will lead the Pine Township school, replacing Richard Losasso, who has retired but will remain through February to help with the transition.
Gressel will also lead George Junior Republic in Indiana, George Junior Republic Realty, Preventative Aftercare Inc., Republic Risk Retention Group, and the parent company, George Junior Republic.
George Junior Republic was established in 1909 and provides private residential treatment for court adjudicated, dependent, and delinquent at-risk male youth.
Gressel previously worked for Beacon Light Behavioral Health System in Bradford, Pa., for 10 years; some of that time was spent as the executive director.
He is currently working on a master of business administration degree at the Ohio University School of Business.
Gressel serves on committees, including the Erie County Community Care Behavioral Health Committee, the Warren County Children and Youth Judges Round Table, and the Western/Central/Eastern Office of Children Youth and Families/Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services Residential Treatment Facility Workgroup.
